v1.9.0
v1.9.0 - French, optional 2FA, and forms that guide you
Our biggest release so far. The platform now speaks your language, signing in no longer sends you through an authenticator setup first, and the interface stopped letting you save something it was going to refuse.
Volticast speaks French
- The website, your dashboard and the documentation are all available in French, and you can switch language at any time from the top of the page.
- The emails we send you follow the language set on your profile.
- English is unchanged and remains the reference version.
Two-factor authentication is your choice
- Signing in no longer sends you through the authenticator setup before you can reach your radios.
- You can still turn it on whenever you want, from the 2FA page of your account, and we recommend it.
- A new password now asks for a little more: 12 characters, upper and lower case, a digit and a special character. Existing passwords keep working.
Forms that tell you what they expect
- The Save button stays greyed out until the form is genuinely complete and valid, so a save no longer fails after the fact.
- Each field says what is wrong, under the field, as you type.
- Deleting a radio now asks you to type its identifier back, and deleting a media library asks for a confirmation. Neither can happen on a stray click any more.
A cleaner start for a new radio
- A new radio starts empty rather than with a demo track we picked, so what goes on air is yours from the first second.
- A short checklist on the radio page shows exactly what is left to do before going live, and takes you there.
- Stream addresses are now yours to name, instead of always carrying your radio's identifier as a prefix.
Legal notice and privacy policy
- Both are published and linked from the footer of every page.
- The privacy policy describes what we actually store, why, and for how long - including the fact that listener location is computed on our own servers, so no listener address ever leaves them.
